On Board

Life on board the Queen Elizabeth is luxurious, pleasant and structured.

Our room is where the turquoise dot is.  We haven't had any rough seas this passage, so no waves slapping the windows as I had expected with a room so close to the water.

It's been sunny every day.  I'm actually bored with the one pair of shorts I brought!

This is the Observation Deck where we do our writing and art.
Coffee, drinks, snacks and live music are always on deck.

The food is fun!

There was a demonstration yesterday (Sept.11), where some of the master chefs showed off their artistic skill.
And, yes, there were samples!

Every Day At Sea there are art lectures, trivia games and an eclectic collection of activities.

I have been attending the daily watercolor classes.

There are nightly shows in the theater.
The performances range from solo acts to magic shows to a new musical last night about love and lavender farms.
It was an earnest performance.

We will be on land tomorrow in Funchal, Madeira.  We are looking forward to a downhill wicker toboggan ride.
