Tomar/Templar

We have found the homeland.

Tony met this friendly Knight who welcomed us to the fortress. He just happened to have the Grail.
We told him we'd been looking for it for quite some time.

Tony did his magic trick with the key he gave us, where it looks like Tony is throwing the object away.
The Knight's eyes looked concerned, he said, " There is only one key."
Then it reappeared in Tony's other hand and he laughed.
A fun start to an outstanding day!
Joe, entering the keep.  Walking away from his Nerd parents.

If you zoom in on this one you can see the cross shaped arrow holes.

Although it was Oct 8th, it was 100° that day so we decided to find the Templar church in town. We needed some car AC.
It was a surprisingly simple church.  The stained glass was modern.
The Church was built by the first Knight listed here.

Many Knights are buried under the floor.
This was a calming and sweet little church.
Next post, the Convent de Cristo, near the fortifications shown above!
