Muscat

Couldn't help it.

Mus-cat, Oman.
November 18-19
Days 75 and 76

This place was gorgeous.  Very rugged and mountainous, which we weren't expecting.
Tony caught that sunset as we were leaving the port.

The main city was walkable along the waterfront where we were lucky enough to spot some fish and turtles swimming.

There were various sealife statues along the "Cornice " walk.
It was a Saturday, and a holiday, so lots of people were out.

We went to the Muttrah Souq which was so fascinating, I didn't take any photos, so I took some from the internet for you.
It was pretty packed.  The first day we made it through a few shops and alleyways where someone alway has the perfect thing for you.

One smart guy saw Tony coming and held up a 3XL shirt with a camel on it for him!  We should have bought it just for the effort!

The Souq is so bright and colorful and sparkly ✨️,  it's hard to leave it.

Back outside there were pretty minarets, one day we were lucky enough to listen to the call to prayer.
We stopped at a little Cafe where Tony found his true love *Nutella* in a milkshake.
We also found some home cooked food...
And back to the ship.
Next up, a beautiful Mosque in Muscat and a private island I the Persian Gulf.
