Here Tony is sitting outside of the port terminal in Heraklion where there is wi fi. There are no empty seats left inside.
Today, the Suez Canal has been very different from our Panama Canal experience. There is activity on each side of this one, as opposed to the locks and jungle cruise of the Panama Canal.
One side is desert.
One side is green.
There is a huge suspension bridge called The Friendship Bridge built in collaboration with Japan.
This is one half of a train bridge. It used to swing out and meet its twin to provide a way across the Canal.
Egypt has since widened the Canal, so this is no longer in use.
This bridge is in use. Every now and then, ship traffic stops and this bridge allows auto traffic to cross the Canal.

We will finish this passage in 16 hours total. We should reach the Red Sea by 3:30 this afternoon.
We will be at sea the next 6 days.
Here's what we can do.
We can go to outer space.
We can hang out at the pool.
We can stare at the ever changing ceiling on Deck 6.
Or... check out what the chocolate makers are coming up with.
Should be fun! Fingers crossed!

And 6 days at sea? Good thing you paint or you may just have to drink to excess. Have fun.
