Lisbon Lodging

November 21st
Day 41
Wow.  What a city!  Packed onto a bunch of hills!
We heard there is a Templar city nearby, so that may be a fun rabbit hole to pursue.
We think we found The Grail in Cadíz though... maybe we can relax.
That was an entertaining archeological dig.

So. Lisbon.  I was so sad to leave our ship. We exchanged info with new friends, maybe we will meet again. We'll see, I guess.

We didn't know what the future held in the land of Portuguese.
I released all my anxiety when we got to check in to our "studio".

We waited about an hour to check in, watching Portuguese music videos and reading guidebooks to Portugal.

The desk clerk talked to Tony and said, "Let me see if your room is ready."

So we sat around another half hour.  It is an interesting place and we took turns walking out on the hotel's terrace and the street/tiny alleyway.
The clerk came back and we began to register.
The first clue was that we are in 'Room 1A'
What?  First Class seats?
Then, room 1A is somehow on floor 2 of the elevator and up another flight of stairs with our huge suitcases.
He opens the door of our "studio"
Here is 1A's "lounge".
There is also a hallway.  And a bathroom. An airline runway shower and a bedroom with two closets.  There is a coffee maker and a washing machine.
I am counting the blessings of him being taller than me once again.
If you have ever traveled with Tony,  you know this is far from our usual digs.
Here is the pool.  I am praying for sunshine!
I think three miracles came together.
1.  It's off season.
2.  Tony may not have fit in the studio that he originally booked.
3.  Tony performed his magic coin trick for our dear desk clerk and he was amazed.
And a fourth.  I am so pretty.
Boom!

The stage is set for exploration!
