Art

Since I got to take watercolor classes on this trip, I thought I would share some of the projects.

Every day our teacher, Valerie Hoste, had a project for us. Initially we did a technique study, which is the page with the squiggles and the dots in the above photo. There is also a tree study and a lily flower study that you can see.

This was a window study where I painted the frame initially and didn't like it.   We decided the second one was the "repaired" window.  Or, one was a cloudy Seattle window and the other was a window in sunny Tuscany.
You decide.

We have an art show today.  These are my final choices.  There's a new painting in there.  The dock on a lake in the upper right.
This was so fun for me!

My two bell towers got pride of place and many compliments.
I was surprised.   I almost didn't put it in the art show.  So there you have it.  Even if you think your art is a mess, someone else will love it.

Here are my art friends, Joni and Ari.
And here is our chill teacher, Valerie.
We reminded each other of someone... but beyond Jane Lynch and my friend Milessia, we were stumped.

I'm going to take these lessons with me and see  what I can find to paint in France....

Other than that, this is our normal Day at Sea.
