Cadiz, Spain

Today was the perfect day. It was only 70°, and a bit overcast.   The perfect environment for wandering.

We got off the ship early this morning and headed towards the town center.
Isn't that a cool tree?

We have been to this town before and knew there was a market today.  So we set out to find The Grail.
No luck, so we went back to the Cathedral plaza.
We have been here before but couldn't get into the Cádiz Cathedral of No Particular Saint.  So we wandered in today.
The Monstrance, aptly named.
The first time I have found my nephew in a Cathedral.
Here Jesus is on top of the world.

Here is just a beautiful piece of art.  Italian, 15th C.

As we left the church, we walked toward the sea.  Càdiz is really an island, attached to Spain by a strip of land.  It could have just as easily been attached to Gibraltar.

As luck would have it, we found some Roman ruins and an interesting museum.

So many ruins.

We stopped for a snack before we returned to the Queen Elizabeth.
We land in Barcelona in two days and will be off on another tangent to France.
